Pretense for Murder
 Available at Amazon http://amzn.to/wbE8lB
This short story starts with teenage Vallon Drake. She is at a high school for the gifted of power, (the AGS Prep Academy in Seattle) but even there she feels different. She knows she is more powerful than most of them and she feels their powers. Her guardian Landon just wants her to follow the rules but the itch that she gets when she doesn’t use her powers gets her to disobey the rules discretely and go into the woods and use them. While coming back to sneak into the prep academy she finds a girl who looks like her dead. Vallon wants to investigate but both her guardian and the headmaster want her to stay out of the investigation but Vallon feels an obligation to investigate. She feels that they are not investigating closely because it is a crime of the gifted.
This is a very enchanting read. I truly enjoyed getting to know the character of Vallon.A very interesting compelling read.
I give this book

Review -Shades Of Gray

Shades of Gray by Andy Holloman

Shades of Gray

John Manning is a single father raising his daughter but his travel business has been bad since 9/11 and his little girl is ill and needs a kidney transplant .A client (whom he guesses is a drug mule) owes him back travel money so when he spies her at a McDonalds he attempts to blackmail her into paying him what she owes him. She offers him a way to obtain the money to help his daughter and so they go into business together transporting drugs. I won’t tell you much more about the story as I don’t want to spoil it however I will tell you “Shades Of Gray” Is an intricately layered story of intrigue twist and turns that will keep you enthralled until the end of the book. The characters are ordinary people deeply flawed (as most people) are just trying to live the life the dice has rolled to them. Each is faced with a dilemma the solution that is a shade of gray. The choices these individuals make is the basis of the thrilling, emotion filled story.

Cat Colvin always thought she was the average teen except for her taller than average height and her one blue eye and one amber eye. But something is happening. The Childe is fascinating take on the vampire series mixing human and vampires told in multiple voices as you hear from other characters points of views. The characters are complex and make for a compelling read as you wonder what will happen next. This is a captivating book that will keep you reading until the very last page and make you want to read the next in the series Dark Days

Review of Pirate King
I love Pirates of Penzance I was very excited but I wondered how Ms. King would take this story and use it with in a story about people making a movie. At first I was disappointed that Sherlock Holmes didn’t appear in the story until much, much later but as I followed along with Mary and her adventure I became intrigued with the story and the characters she was meeting. The background and research for this story was done well as are all her books the historical facts are extremely accurate and fun to read. I loved how she tied the story together with the movie making and the actual events that take place, however I must say I was still a little disappointed in how tiny the role of Sherlock Holmes there was in the book itself .It takes nearly two one third of the book before you really even read about Sherlock and then it seems to be more of an after-thought then the Sherlock Holmes she wrote about in previous books. That said the storyline was very good despite the missing Holmes and I did enjoy it. It was a rich fun story and if you like a great pirate story you will enjoy this book.

Review Paradox Progeny of Innocence

Paradox - Progeny Of Innocence
Paradox -Progeny of Innocence
By Patti Roberts
Available at Smashwords http://bit.ly/zIRQvE
and Amazon http://amzn.to/xbeRvH
I had read “Paradox-The Angels are Here" see review here http://bit.ly/wl0Otx and I looked forward to reading the second in the series and Progeny of Innocence did not disappoint. This book had such a captivating story woven intricately between the pages that this reader could not put down the story until its completion. I enjoyed the richness of the characters and all the facades of their personalities. The characters come alive and you can picture each and every one of them with the descriptions the author gives. All the questions I wondered about with the first book were answered.
In the book Juliette narrates  and you learn how she was reborn repeatedly and finally settled in Grace. Grace doesn't recall all the details of her past lives though she doesn't sometimes get glimmers through dreams and impressions. She knows that she must recall the past when strange things start happening around her and a killer is loose. She is drawn to the new boy Damon and can’t understand the instant attraction. Angela is still trying to protect Grace but it is more difficult for her as Grace is getting older and will not be swayed as easy as she once was.
I liked the little girl Grace but the development in the character of Grace in this novel  makes you see how strong Grace really is becoming as a young woman.
I also really enjoyed was the introduction of Keyla of The Bakhna Rakna who is fighting the bad angels on her own terms. I look forward to finding more about her and her fight and how she and possibly Grace will come together in the next book to save the world in the battle between the warring Angels.
I truly enjoyed this book and if you like paranormal books with intricate plots and  a rich story you will too.
