Paradox -Progeny of Innocence
I had read “Paradox-The Angels are Here" see review here http://bit.ly/wl0Otx and I looked forward to reading the second in the series and Progeny of Innocence did not disappoint. This book had such a captivating story woven intricately between the pages that this reader could not put down the story until its completion. I enjoyed the richness of the characters and all the facades of their personalities. The characters come alive and you can picture each and every one of them with the descriptions the author gives. All the questions I wondered about with the first book were answered.
In the book Juliette narrates and you learn how she was reborn repeatedly and finally settled in Grace. Grace doesn't recall all the details of her past lives though she doesn't sometimes get glimmers through dreams and impressions. She knows that she must recall the past when strange things start happening around her and a killer is loose. She is drawn to the new boy Damon and can’t understand the instant attraction. Angela is still trying to protect Grace but it is more difficult for her as Grace is getting older and will not be swayed as easy as she once was.
I liked the little girl Grace but the development in the character of Grace in this novel makes you see how strong Grace really is becoming as a young woman.
I also really enjoyed was the introduction of Keyla of The Bakhna Rakna who is fighting the bad angels on her own terms. I look forward to finding more about her and her fight and how she and possibly Grace will come together in the next book to save the world in the battle between the warring Angels.
I truly enjoyed this book and if you like paranormal books with intricate plots and a rich story you will too.
